Very busy restaurant, we had king crab dinner with other dishes. Service was great and dishes were fantastic. Wonton soup, king crabs, fried rice and shrimp was my top favorites, but really liked all dishes. Can’t even remember all of them. Definitely recommend, and make sure to call ahead.

Busy restaurant with great Cantonese-Chinese dishes. Service was very fast. We ordered: Pan-fried flounder, fish fillet and tofu casserole, and seafood chow fun. The portions were generous.

We wanted a seafood dinner and decided to try this restaurant. We ordered the king crab dinner for $888. This included: 1. Lobster with Fresh Fruit salad 2. Sauteed dual sea clam w.crispy milk curd 3. Pan fried lamb chop w. dried shallot 4. Four Treasure Stew Soup 5.King crab, Two Ways (7 LBS) (Fried rice/house special style) 6. Famous garlic aromatic crispy chicken 7. House special steam live fish 8. Snow pea sprout W.three king of eggs 9. Braised noodle W.chinese mushroom It is suggested for 10 people but since we had 3 children with us, we could not finish as the portions were big. The king crab was so good and I liked that we tried it in a variety of styles. At the end of dinner, we had a dessert soup too. The restaurant had a decent amount of people in it, large parties and small. All the dishes looks amazing. The king crab fried rice was my favorite.

This restaurant might serve some of the best Cantonese cuisine in the New York area. Their dishes lean toward traditional flavors, and both the main courses and dim sum are incredibly authentic with perfect cooking techniques. Their signature dish, especially the dumpling soup, is the best I’ve ever had — thin skin, generous filling, and incredibly flavorful broth. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves Cantonese food.

Great restaurant, have been coming to this restaurant for many years with family, and they can accommodate a very large group. Once we had a group of 15 and needed 2 tables, but we made it work. They get very busy with dinner and on the weekends. This spot is great for eating alone or for groups. Cash and credit are both accepted, but cash can be cheaper. Unisex bathrooms are available. Highly recommend getting the grouper and the Peking Pork chops. 05/2025

Golden Wonton King is one of those spots that really delivers when you’re craving authentic Cantonese comfort food. The flavors are rich, nostalgic, and clearly made with care. Their wontons are a standout—perfectly cooked with a delicate wrapper and flavorful filling—and the broth is light but deeply satisfying. Everything we ordered tasted fresh and well-balanced, from the roasted meats to the noodle dishes. Portions are generous, making it great for sharing or taking leftovers home. The service is quick and no-frills, which honestly adds to the charm of a classic Cantonese eatery. If you’re looking for a reliable go-to for traditional Cantonese dishes, this place definitely hits the mark. I’ll be coming back!

This restaurant is always crowded with lines out the door. Made sure to come before 11AM to get a medium sized table with the fam. Was seated right away with tea served. Ordered the shrimp rice rolls, turnip cake, and tripe from the dimsum menu. All of which were delicious. For mains ordered the wonton soup, garlic chicken, salt and pepper pork chop, seafood crispy noodle, snails, and golden fried rice. Cannot order enough dishes from this spot. Everything was fresh served up hot. Will be back to feast again!
